Managing music genres allows administrators to add, edit, and remove genre categories used to organize music on the platform.
Overview
Genres help organize music content and make it easier for users to find the type of music they want. Administrators can customize the available genres.
How to Access
- Log in as an administrator
- Navigate to Music Admin in the sidebar
- Click on Manage Genres
Prerequisites
- Administrator role required
Genre List
Shows all genres with:
- Genre name
- Number of tracks
- Status (active/inactive)
Managing Genres
Add Genre
Click Add Genre and enter the genre name.
Edit Genre
Modify genre name or settings.
Deactivate Genre
Deactivate a genre to hide it from users without deleting it.
Delete Genre
Remove a genre permanently. Tracks using this genre will need to be reassigned.
